Girls Lacrosse lose City Championship 7 – 3
On May 20, the Pali girls lacrosse team played in the Los Angeles City Championship.
The team, ranked second in the league, took on the Birmingham Patriots, their long time rivals and reigning City champs. The last time the girls played Birmingham, tensions soared as a fist fight broke out seconds before the Pali girls defeated the Patriots.
The morale gained from this win slightly dissipated, however, as the Dolphins lost seven to three in the championship. Despite the loss, the team remains hopeful.
“It was a little disheartening to lose but I do think we’ve improved monumentally this year, so I don’t think it was a complete loss” sophomore Claire Spector said.
