Rauschuber scores in scavenger hunt
Students rushed through the new student handbook, on Wednesday, Jan. 25, to win a pizza party for their fourth period class during Pali’s handbook scavenger hunt. Teachers began the scavenger hunt by showing their students a PowerPoint discussing Pali’s accomplishments, including the rise in attendance and attendance reports. The PowerPoint concluded with directions for the following class activity. Students were divided into groups to answer questions about Pali’s school policy, such as rules about electronic devices, grade appeals and freedom of expression. Student were also asked to connect school policies to the Student Bill of Rights and Responsibilities.
AP U.S. Government teacher Mr. Rauschuber, who took on the task of creating the layout of the New Student Handbook, and his fourth period won the pizza party for being the first class to finish the questionnaire with thorough and accurate answers. When asked if he thought his class had an unfair advantage because of his involvement in the creation of the handbook, he replied, “No, why would they?”
On behalf of Palisades a special thanks to Mr.Rauschuber for taking the time to form the new Pali Student Handbook.
