Pali hosted a Scooter for Batten “Scoot-a-thon” on Saturday, May 21. It took place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for children ages 3-10. The purpose of the scoot-a-thon was to raise money for efforts to cure Batten disease, which is characterized by genetic mutations that cause a disturbance in the cell’s ability to get rid of wastes. The event included face painting, a DJ, kids’ activity booths, prizes, an In-N-Out truck and more.
