Sophia Winston, a junior, is excited to begin her first year on Tideline as a staff writer. Since she was nine years old, it has been Sophia’s long-term goal to become an investigative journalist for the New York Times. Outside of the newsroom, Sophia is a varsity athlete on the Pali High girls indoor volleyball team and she is Co-President of the Pali chapter of Circle of Women. Sophia has also been a Girl Scout for 12 years, is a member of the Large Corporation team with Level Up LA and she participated in a summer program with the New York Times. Sophia enjoys reading, going to the beach and tanning and watching movies with her friends. Sophia feels very lucky to be a part of Tideline and is looking forward to an amazing school year.
