Elise Larsson, Opinion Editor

Elise Larsson, a senior, is excited to return to Tideline for her fourth year and to continue in her role as Opinion editor. She has always had a knack for writing, and journalism has expanded into a passion that she hopes to pursue; she loves using the platform to bring attention to important causes. Outside of journalism, Elise partakes in the civic organization Civic Leaders of America (RIP Junior State of America) where she serves as Director of Development, as well as plays soccer for Pali’s team. She loves to travel, read, listen to music, and unsolicitedly show you the 900+ pictures she has of her beloved dog, Phoebe.

Kylie Lupescu, Features Editor

Kylie Lupescu, a senior, is returning to the Tideline staff as Features editor. Kylie has always been passionate about writing and educating others about important issues. She spends her free time advancing her education by learning about current events. She has attended the New York University fall 2023 pre-college course,Columbia Barnards Young Women Leadership Institute and is captain of the Palisades Charter High School varsity girls water polo team. Outside of school, she enjoys hanging out with her friends and dog, watching movies, and listening to music.

Ava Walker, News Editors

Ava Walker joined Tideline as a sophomore and is now serving as one of the News Editors. She is a senior at Pali and is extremely excited to further her journalistic skills as writing has always been one of her favorite hobbies. She can’t wait to learn more about the intricacies of journalism, as she writes and edits pieces that she is interested in. Outside of journalism, Ava’s favorite hobbies include playing soccer for both her club and school teams, taking part in her extracurricular activities such as JSA and Shoes for the Homeless and cooking for her family and friends. While she doesn’t have a musical bone in her body, she loves listening to various bands and discovering new genres of music.
