Pali’s football team’s season came to an end as the Dolphins suffered a 13-10 loss at San Pedro High School in the quarterfinals of the City Section playoffs on Thursday, Nov. 17.

The game was close all the way through. The Dolphins (9-3) reached the one-yard line late in the fourth quarter, only to have the play nullified by a holding penalty.

The defeat marked an end to a historic year for Pali’s football program, as this was the first team since 2000 to win eight regular season games as well as the first to win consecutive Western League titles in more than 40 years.
